camera view in creator beta 4

Added by miscellany over 3 years ago

in the latest development builds of 'creator' the 'view --> Camera View' buttons are greyed out. the only way i seem to be able to navigate around the space when building is by double clicking an object in the explorer, which does not always give an optimal view. is there another way i have missed to navigate around the space from within creator while building?

cheers

Hey Andrew,
If you hold down right click while you move your mouse that should get you looking, to move the keys are 'W'(forward) 'A'(left) 'S'(back) 'D'(right), space will move you up and C will move you down. If your in Interactive Preview you'll need to have a plugin inside the park to move around.
Hope that helped.

So we know how to navigate when in the "Design" view (using "W","D","A","S"), but how to ensure that the appropriate angle is viewed at "interactive preview"?

For example, I have followed the tutorial on "Scripting Collisions Events" to create a ball placing on the box. I want to see its animation. But when I click "interactive preview" I saw nothing because it seems that the preview angle given is not appropriate. The objects are behind me.

I tried create a camera and put some scripting language inside. After several times of trying, I still failed to view the things I've created.

Hope to hear some opinions on this aspect.

Ah ha~ I know how to solve it now...

Just set this newly-created camera to be inside the "IMML" tag and set its attribute "camera" as my camera's name~

Thanks for pointing that out. We will have to update the tutorial so that it demonstrates how to set the default camera to the park.
