Problem with Startpark

This might be a dumb question, but when I run startpark. I can't get the bipbot to move smoothly. I'll press 'w' and he'll jump ahead 10 feet or he doesn't move at all. I don't think it's my computer's power, because everything else runs smoothly.

Hi there,
When you say everything else runs smoothly are you referring to other non-vastpark applications? ie: games?
There were some fairly nasty CPU bugs that were fixed just prior to the end of year break, what build number are you using?
Can you post system specs?

Hiya, I am having similar issues as Rice Crisp: "Everything is running smoothly" as in, when I activate Interactive Preview, everything in the simulation is working properly. The barrels drop and roll, I can rotate my camera around, etc'.
However when I try to move with my avatar using the WASD keys, the bipbot runs through its animations but does not actually move in the world itself.
This is using the default StartPark.park world.
I am currently using VastPark Creator Beta 4 - Build 638 - Platform v0.94 on Windows XP SP3, on a Mac Pro (1st gen) using BootCamp. (Which means i'm running a 4-core Woodcrest Xeon Intel machine).

Hello CrystalShard, welcome to the forum :)
It sounds like bipbot's physics bounding is overlapping that of the ground, causing him to get stuck.
If you try moving him upwards before entering interactive preview does that make a difference?

Yes, that was one of the first things I tried when I saw that the bipbot was not moving. I can confirm that I saw it fall from its new altitude down to the ground when the preview started, but the bipbot still refused to move when I used the WASD keys.

Found the problem :)
The plugin that controls bipbot works better when the parameter UseModelProperties is set to False. See the attached document for an updated version that works.
The next snapshot of the Creator will have this corrected StartPark packaged with it. Thanks for letting us know!
