How to run multiple clients on the one machine¶

1. Open USERPROFILE\Local Settings\Application Data\VastPark\v1.5\Player\config
   • E.g. C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\VastPark\v1.5.1\Player\config
2. Open the file called "settings.xml" in a text editor or similar
3. Search for a boolean named EnableMultipleInstances
4. You will find the default is: <EnableMultipleInstance>false</EnableMultipleInstance>
5. Change "false" to "true"
6. Save your change

Done. You will now be able to open multiple versions of the Player.

Multiple "ghost" processes¶

One negative side-effect of this is that copies may not close properly on exit and so you can end up with multiple copies running that you thought were closed. Sometimes they remain connected to the server, which can confuse you when you thought they were closed so it's a good idea to keep the Windows processes window open and kill any VastPark Player processes that you see hanging around which you don't want. You can open this by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL and selecting Start Task Manager and then selecting the Processes tab.
