VastPark:Home¶

When you open the VastPark Player for the first time you are taken to the vastpark:home page. Here you can visit demo and recently visited virtual worlds, change your avatar and edit your profile icon.

Demos¶

The Demos page is the first area you see when you go to the vastpark:home page. There are four images layed out in a grid, each image is a link to a demo world. By clicking on the Image you will be redirected to that demo world.

The smaller bottom row of environment images are places that you've recentley visited. Each time you visit a virtual world these images will be updated. If you want to revisit a world you can click on the image and you will be redirected back to that environment.

Avatars¶

Your current avatar is always visible and located to the right of screen in the vastpark:home page. You will be given a standard avatar by default by you can change your avatar.

Changing your Avatar¶

To change your current avatar press the "Change Avatar" button located directly under your avatar. This will bring up a set of 12 images of avatars in a grid which you can choose from.

Selecting Avatars¶

You can switch between male and female avatars by pressing the "Male" and "Female" buttons underneath the twelve avatar images.

When you click on one of the available avatars it will appear where your default avatar used to be, it won't be set to your avatar until you press the "Set as my Avatar" button.

If you change your mind and decide that you want to keep your current then you can press the "Cancel Button"

Custom Avatar URI¶

Have your own custom avatar that you would like to use? You can press the + icon below the "Male" and "Female" buttons. A dialog box will appear where you can paste the avatar URI and press OK

Profile Icon¶

Your profile icon is an image you use to define yourself. By default you will be given a standard profile icon but you can change this.

Changing your Profile Icon¶

To change your profile icon click on the button "Change my Icon" located under your avatar on the main screen.This will bring up a screen like the one below.

The big image located at the top of screen is your current profile icon.

Selecting a Profile Icon¶

You can select one of the twelve profile icons provided by default or alternatively you can add one from a URI.

To select a provided icon click on the desired image and press the "Set as my Icon" button<./p>

Custom Icon URI¶

To enter a custom icon click on the + image. A dialog will appear where you can enter a URI and press the "OK" button. The icon will appear as the large image at top of screen and by pressing "Set as my Icon" you will set this as your new profile icon.
