Can't be heard in VastPark voice conversations

Solving problems with VoIP:

Firstly, you need your physical microphone connected to your computer and turned on if it has an on/off switch. All this needs to be done prior to starting VastPark applications. If you're now read, start up the VastPark application and log in. If you're going into a virtual world, is there a microphone icon that shows up? If not, that world may not support VoIP. Once the microphone icon is visible, make sure you turn it on. This may require a left or right click on the icon. It should then indicate that it is active.

Q: What happens if I can hear others but they can't hear me and yet I've followed all the steps outlined above?

A: If everything appears to be working and people can hear you when you use a 3rd party tool like Skype but they can't hear you via VastPark, it's probably because of an operating system setting issue. To solve this problem on a Windows computer, go into your Windows' Control Panel. In Windows 7, select "Hardware and Sound". Inside this select "Sound". The Sound options application should appear. It has several tabs. Select the Recording tab, then select the microphone that is actually working and set it as Default.

If none of the microphones are registering sounds you make then you have a problem with your microphone (again, is it switched on?) or with your windows drivers. Like most computer problems, you should try restarting your computer in case that is enough to solve the issue.

Once you have a microphone that shows an active sound level then you can set it as default, restart VastPark and it should start working.
